25.03.1964: The Beatles make its first apperance on BBC TV's "Top Of The Pops" singing Can't Buy Me Love. 4.04.1964: this song tops the UK chart, after selling a record 1,226,000 copies in its first week, and tops US chart, making a record leap in US from a #27 chart debut vaulting over Twist And Shout which moves up 1 place to hit #2, and selling 2 million copies in its week of release, after advance orders of 1,700,000. Its advance orders of 1 million are the largest in the UK record history. 25.04.1964: Peter (Asher) & Gordon (Waller)'s Lennon/McCartney-penned A World Without Love knocks Can't Buy Me Love off the top of the UK chart.
