1966 : George Harrison is refused admission to Annabel's nightclub in London for not wearing a tie, so he, and his party, including wife Patti, Brian Epstein and Eric Clapton see in the New Year at Joe Lyon's Corner House in Coventry Street in the West End of London.
1970 : Paul McCartney files suit against the rest of the group to dissolve THE BEATLES & Co. partnership and seeks the appointment of a receiver to handle the group's affairs. He also ends links with Allen Klein who now handles the affairs of the other 3. Happy New Year for all their fans.

Dec. 26, 1971 : My Sweet Lord hits US #1, giving Harrison a second accolade as the first ex-Beatle with a chart-topping single. Originally given away by Harrison to Billy Preston for his Apple album Encouraging Word and even scheduled as a Preston single release, it becomes a worldwide #1, selling over 5 million copies. "The Beatles Christmas Show" , with Rolf Harris, The Barron Knights, Tommy Quickly, The Fourmost, Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas and Cilla Black, mixing music and pantomime, opens at London's Finsbury Park Astoria. It will run until Jan.11, 1964. "Another Beatles Christmas Show" opens at London's Hammersmith Odeon, with Freddie & The Dreamers, The Yardbirds, Elkie Brooks, Jimmy Savile, Mike Haslam, Mike Cotton Sound, Sounds Incorporated and Ray Fell. The show will end Jan.16, 1965.
