The Feelies: Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except Me and My Monkey)

lastscan - the feelies - lp crazy rhythms - 1980.jpgThe Feelies began playing together in 1976 in a band called the Outkids (Glenn Mercer-gtrs, vcls, keys, percussion; Bill Million-gtrs, vcls, bs; Dave Weckerman-drums) which evolved into the Feelies with the addition of Vinny DeNunzio on drums and John Papesca on bass. They signed to Stiff Records in early 1980. Exit Dave Weckerman.

The Feelies are an American rock band from Haledon, NJ. They formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1992. The Feelies never sold a great number of this album (and also the 3 others up to 1992), their influence was felt on the indie rock scene. The band's name is taken from a fictional entertainment device described in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.

The Beatles song is taken from the (vinyl) album "Crazy Rhythms" (aka "the feelies")  released by Stiff America USE 4 in April 1980.

1980's other releases: UK/NL Stiff Records SEEZ20 - GER: TELDEC [TELEFUNKEN-DECCA] 6.24266 - FR Stiff Records 940 829.
